The Ravelin Documentation MCP server brings Ravelin’s developer documentation directly into your AI coding assistant. Instead of switching between your IDE and browser, you can query documentation, validate API request payloads, and troubleshoot integration issues without leaving your development environment.
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that enables AI assistants to connect with external data sources and tools. By connecting to Ravelin’s Documentation MCP server, your AI assistant gains access to our complete developer documentation and validation tools.
MCP is supported by a growing number of AI coding assistants including Claude, Cursor, VS Code with Continue, Windsurf, and others.
The Ravelin Documentation MCP server provides access to the Ravelin developer documentation:
The Ravelin Documentation MCP server exposes tools for reading documentation and validating API payloads. This allows your coding tool to prototype API requests and check that they conform with our API schemas.
The tool for reading docs fetches any pages from the Ravelin developer documentation to allow your AI assistant to answer questions about the content, explain concepts, or help you find the information you need.
The validation tools check your API request payloads against Ravelin’s schemas before you send them in a real API call. This helps catch errors early — missing required fields, incorrect data types, or invalid values.
Use test data only. Never use real card numbers or sensitive customer data when using validation tools. For 3DS validation, use the test card PAN: 4242424242424242. The validation tools are for development and testing purposes only.
